ZEIL- & SURFCENTRUM BROUWERSDAM / DAM-X EVENT HOUSE RULES
To ensure optimal safety during the course of the event, the organization has set up house rules. By entering the location of the event, visitors automatically comply with these rules. Instructions given by the staff or qualified persons, that have to do with the house rules, are to be followed carefully under all circumstances, at the festival location and in the area around it.
GENERAL
Neither Zeil- & Surfcentrum Brouwersdam/DAM-X Event, nor the persons working the event, can be held responsible for any injuries and/or material damage visitors of the event might suffer at the location. The program comes with reservations. The organization maintains the right to alter the program.
AGE
There is no age limit for the DAM-X event. Visitors are liable to identify themselves according to the legal identification requirements. When you’re asked to show identification and can’t show any, access to the event will be denied to you.
ZERO TOLERANCE
All festivals in Holland maintain the Zero Tolerance policy, by government decree. This means soft drugs and hard drugs are not allowed on the event grounds.
ACCESS UNDER INFLUENCE
It’s forbidden to enter the event grounds under influence of alcohol and/or drugs. When visitors are discovered to be under influence, access will be denied. Visitors under the age of 18 that have, in any way, had access to and consumed alcoholic beverages will be removed from the grounds during check-ups.
ACCESS CONTROL
Every visitor can be subjected to access control by a member of staff upon entering the event grounds. If requested, the check-up will be carried out by a member of the same sex. Refusing the check-up altogether will lead to a denial of access. Access control is implemented to increase the general safety of all visitors, guests, staff members, sportspeople and artists.
FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS AND INSTRUCTIONS
Directions and instructions from the (security) staff are to be followed immediately. Aggressive behavior means you will be removed from the grounds and handed over to the police.
IT IS NOT ALLOWED TO ENTER THE EVENT GROUNDS CARRYING ANY OF THESE ITEMS
Soft drugs, hard drugs, (alcoholic) beverages, glass items, items with discriminating and/or provocative texts and/or expressions, weapons used to hit, stab, shoot or otherwise injure people, or items that can be used as such, items that might negatively influence the safety, health or well-being of visitors, spray cans, atomizers, fireworks, torches; breaking this rule will lead to confiscation and/or being reported to the police. It’s forbidden to trade on and around the event grounds without permission from the organization.
THEFT AND LOSS
Visitors are responsible for their own possessions. The organization can’t be held accountable for the theft and loss of, or damage to, personal items. Zeil- & Surfcentrum Brouwersdam is not responsible for lost or stolen tickets. The organization’s advice is to not bring any valuables to the event, nor to leave them in the car.
FIRST-AID
There will be two first-aid posts on the festival grounds. This is where visitors can go in case of serious problems, but also for a band-aid or some paracetamol/acetaminophen. Besides that, the first-aid staff will keep an eye out for guests looking unwell and general unrest. Under all circumstances, follow the instructions from our staff and aid providers. In the event of calamity, we advise you to stay calm and contact someone from first-aid or the organization.
PHOTOS, VIDEOS AND SOUND RECORDINGS
Anyone entering the event grounds gives their permission to the taking of pictures and making of videos and sound recordings on which they might be seen and/or heard. The organization uses this material for promotional purposes.
ITEMS AND OBJECTS
It’s forbidden to climb on stages, tents, constructions, fences or other objects at the location. It’s not allowed to take items and/or objects from the event with you.
PARKING/BIKE PARK
Bikes and vehicles should be parked at the allocated spots and, as a result, can’t be parked on the event grounds. If a vehicle is parked in a place where this is forbidden, it might be removed. Instructions from qualified persons are to be followed.
SOUND LEVEL
Loud music may be produced on the event grounds. The organization is not responsible for any possible negative consequences to visitors’ hearing that may be suffered because of this.
SMOKING
In all DAM-X tents and all bathroom cabins and other structures on the event grounds, a general ban on smoking is effective. Smoking in the open air is permitted.
BATHROOMS
It’s not allowed to enter a bathroom stall with another person. Urinating outside a bathroom is forbidden and will lead to removal from the event grounds.
VISITOR’S OWN RISK
Entering the event grounds is entirely at the visitor’s own risk. Neither Zeil- & Surfcentrum Brouwersdam/DAM-X event, neither the staff working the event for the organization, can be held accountable for any injury and/or material damage, or immaterial damage that the location’s visitors may suffer on or off the grounds and/or the event.
OTHER SITUATIONS
In situations not regulated by the house rules, the organization will decide on what actions might have to be taken. The organization’s decision in this is binding. Anyone not complying to the house rules will be denied access or be removed from the grounds. Once access is denied or rejected, the event grounds should be left at once. Every visitor is required to be aware of the house rules. Should you have any questions, remarks or doubts, please contact the organization.
